ALL is currently Latin America’s largest independent rail-based logistics operator, offering a complete range of logistics services with domestic and international intermodal door-to-door transportation operations, local pick-up and delivery, port terminal services, dedicated fleet services and warehousing services, including inventory and distribution-center management. Its core service area extends over a portion of the Mercosur Block which accounted for more than 75% of its GDP, covering part of São Paulo state and the southernmost states of Brazil, the central region of Argentina, crossing the borders of Paraguay and Uruguay and serving Chile by truck from its intermodal logistics terminal in Mendoza, Argentina. ALL’s rail network serves seven of the most active ports in Brazil and Argentina through which approximately 78% of South America’s grain exports were shipped in 2005.

ALL owns and operates a large asset base, including a rail network that extends 20,000 kilometers of rail tracks, 1,000 locomotives, 29,700 railcars, 1,200 highway vehicles (trucks and trailers owned directly by ALL or by associate truckers), distribution centers and warehousing facilities. In addition, real estate leased to the Company pursuant to its concessions includes properties that are available for construction and development of warehouses and logistics terminals in Brazil and Argentina. The most important of these properties comprise the more than one million square meters in industrial areas of Buenos Aires. The Company´s leased property provides significant opportunities to further expand its asset base in ways that allow it to enhance its logistics and other service offerings.

The Company’s extensive asset base allows ALL to provide transportation services to clients in a wide variety of market sectors, including agricultural commodities, fuel, construction materials, pulp and paper, steel products, chemicals, petrochemicals, electric and electronic goods, automotive parts, packaging materials, beverages and food. The transportation of agricultural commodities, primarily for export, represented approximately 66.5% of the gross revenues of ALL Brazil in 1H07, while industrial products transportation represented approximately 33.5% of the gross revenues of ALL Brazil in the same period.
