:: RESULTS Since 1997, ALL has kept itself, on average, 33% below the accidents reduction goal established by the Ministry of Transport. In 2004, the company reached the historical safety rate – with a reduction of 80% in the number of accidents in relation to 1997. The figures demonstrate that the effort in this kind of program is worthwhile, not only for reducing the number of accidents involving trains and trucks, but also for approaching the Company to the community.
