AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES

Out of the total cargo carried in 2006 by ALL, 31.5 million tons refer to agricultural commodities. Amongst main products carried, the soybean complex is the most relevant, accounting for approximately 47%, i.e., 14.8 million tons.

Another important product of this segment is corn, which accounted in 2006, for 5% (1.6 million tons) of the total of agricultural commodities transported by ALL . All this corn was destined to exports.

ARGENTINA FLOWS

Mercosur: This flow connects the southeastern of Brazil to Argentina (Buenos Aires) and is mainly based on consumer goods. Even with a long transit-time, this route has growth prospects for non-perishable products.

Mendoza-Buenos Aires: Logistic flow with great expansion capacity in the development of new return cargoes.

Pampas-Buenos Aires: Mainly agricultural commodities are transported in this flow, such as soybean and corn.

Mesopotamia: Flows estimating great expansion with important customers, such as Alto Paraná (Arauco) and Masisa. This expansion is based on the company’s increased loading capacity.
